Back in April, we shared where TeamWeave was headed — a next evolution focused on answers that feel faster, clearer, and easier to trust. Since then, we've been busy. TeamWeave V2 has reached general availability, and a lot of what we described is now in your hands.
This is the full update: what shipped, what's still on the roadmap for the rest of 2026, and how it all ties back to the vision we laid out in the spring. Let's start with what you can use today.
One connected view of your whole operation
The centerpiece of the April vision was unified visibility — bringing your people, projects, assignments, scenarios, and analytics into one place, and keeping them connected. That's live. Instead of jumping between disconnected screens, you can now see not just what is happening, but how it is connected — availability, project demand, and workload side by side, because a change in any one of them affects the others.
V2 brings together and keeps in sync:

- Assignment details and workloads
- Scenario plans and alternatives
- Analytics across utilization and performance
Build any metric — then pin it to your dashboard
This one goes a step beyond the original plan. V2 introduced a financial forecasting and planning module alongside a new analysis engine — so you're no longer limited to the reports we ship. If you can describe a metric using the data in TeamWeave, you can build it, plot it, and keep it in front of you.
With the analysis engine, you can:
- Create virtually any metric from your TeamWeave data
- Visualize it as a chart, a graph, or a table — your choice
- Forecast and plan against it with the new financial module
- Pin it to a custom dashboard and home-page view built around what your team cares about
The result is a home page that reflects your priorities, not a fixed template — and the numbers behind every decision, ready the moment you log in.
Real-time analysis that catches problems early
A planning tool is only as good as the data behind it, so V2 leaned into real-time analysis. Those insights are in the product now, helping teams see what is happening right now instead of reacting after the fact:
- Live insight into overused and underused resources
- Conflict detection that flags overlapping assignments before they cause delays
- Scenario comparisons that show how different planning choices affect timelines and workloads
A mobile portal for your people
Planning doesn't stop at the planner's desk. V2 shipped a mobile-first resource portal — a separate, simple app your people can log in to for everything about their work: their assignments, their projects, notifications, and the details they need, without calling the office. And to keep everyone in the loop, we added custom email communications you can tailor and send from TeamWeave.
Plug into the tools you already use
The April vision emphasized a controlled, secure data layer — one consistent, guarded path to your information. That foundation is in place, and V2 built on it with forward-facing custom integrations: connect TeamWeave to virtually any API-native cloud application, right from the settings screen, so it fits into the stack you already run on rather than adding another island of data.
What's still ahead in 2026
V2 reaching general availability is a milestone, not a finish line. Here's what we're rolling out through the rest of the year:
Now (August): Custom SMS and push notifications through the resource portal, so updates reach your people the way they actually check them. Plus a revamped map view and project list view — filter projects by radius to your regional offices, edit inline right in the list, and switch on full Gantt-chart capabilities whenever you want them.
September: True version control for your scenarios. Most teams keep one plan and overwrite it as things change. In V2, you can keep as many plans in play as you want — one is the approved master, your plan of record, and the rest are live alternatives your team develops alongside it. Compare any two to see exactly what's different, submit a plan for review and approval, and merge the approved one into the master — with a complete history you can step back through anytime. If you know Git or GitHub, that's exactly the model — it's essentially GitHub for resource planning. If you don't, it's the discipline of drawing revisions and change control, but with many plans in flight at once, not just one.
Q4: This is where the natural-language experience we previewed in April comes to life. You'll be able to talk to TeamWeave in plain language — not just to ask questions, but to get things done: edit projects, resources, and assignments, and build and save dashboards, metrics, views, forecasts, reports, and communications, all by describing what you want. Alongside it, scenario optimization will run simulations to propose the strongest plans for you to review, approve, and merge.
Your feedback ships — every day
Here's something we're just as proud of as the feature list: the roadmap you just read was shaped by customers — and it's still being shaped right now. We take feedback and build it into the product every single day. When a customer tells us something's missing, it isn't filed away for “someday” — it becomes the next thing we build.
